About

Franco-Jeunes de Terre-Neuve et du Labrador

Franco-Jeunes de Terre-Neuve et du Labrador was founded in 1988 at a provincial youth meeting in Cap Saint-Georges, and was incorporated on February 6, 1990. The need to exchange and create links between young Francophones and Acadians was very evident. Gathering and brainstorming activities were organized to meet this need while giving young people aged 12 to 25 the opportunity to live and play in French. The mission of Franco-Jeunes de Terre-Neuve et du Labrador is to provide stimulating and enriching experiences for the province's French-speaking youth.

The different activities

Each year, Franco-Jeunes participates in numerous events across Canada to allow young Francophones and Francophiles between the ages of 12 and 25 to take part in multiple activities at both the provincial and national levels. These activities are mainly centered around the Jeux de la Francophonie canadienne, the Jeux de l'Acadie, the Festival jeunesse de l'Acadie, the Parlement jeunesse de l'Acadie, the Parlement jeunesse pancanadien and the Forum jeunesse pancanadien.
